I've looked at RUN RUN ONCE but can't find the files that I've
unchecked and want out of the MSCONFIG startup area ...

Start>Programs>Accessories>Run> msconfig> fix what you want in there, and
then get out of there.

Download this simple little tool and run it (have to have UAC off for
it to work).

I rewrote the script to work with vista with UAC on here line 4:

The other one is for XP only.

Actually, I have that one but forgot where I got it, so I Googled for
a while and found the other one.

Er.... MSConfig tells you exactly where the pertinent registry entries
are. Just read it.

Something I've often noticed:

It seems that you frequently jump into a discussion at a point like
this (late), and/or you offer steps to fix the problem after they have
been offered by a half dozen others before you.

gone.... you probably should be entertaining yourself at a website more
