I am trying to remove some programs in my start menu using MSCONFIG.

After I uncheck the program and APPLY or OK.

I get an error message saying I have to log in as an administrator to make a
change. I do not have log-in for this.

You need to log on with admin privileges to make changes to msconfig.

Is this your personal PC or a corporate/work one?

If work, you need to find the sysadmin to make the changes, if a home one,
you need to log on to a different account that has admin rights.

Homer: "Good riddance! Their drawings sucked and they looked like hippies."

BTW, this is a Media Center forum, your question has nothing to do with that
topic, in the future post in a more apropos newsgroup.
