I just ran into this, and found that the service is called .NET Runtime
Optimization Service v2.0.50727_x86. During my bootup on the network,
the mscorsvw.exe was hogging all my CPU causing my logon script to take
an excruciatingly long time to run. The service is non-essential and
can be stopped.
Right-Click "My Computer", then click "Manage". Expand "Services and
Applications", and click "Services". On the right hand side, locate
".NET Runtime Optimization Service v2.0.50727_x86" (should be the top
one or two), and right-click on it to choose properties. Click the
"Stop" button and once stopped, choose "Disabled" from the "Startup
Type". If you're running XP, you may also want to click "Start>Run..."
and type "msconfig" (without quotes) and hit enter. In the box that
appears, choose the "Services" tab scroll down to the ".NET Runtime
Optimization Service v2.0.50727_x86" service and uncheck it. Click
"OK", and restart your PC.
Hope this helps!
