MSCS 2k3 - Exchange CCR 2007 - Lost Majority

We´ve setup an Exchange 2007 CCR Cluster with FSW / MNS Quorum. Is it the
default behaviour that if the passive node is taken offline (simple reboot)
the majority ist lost and the active node shuts down cluster service?

Nope, that is not normal. It sounds to me like the FSW is not setup
correctly.

No, that's not the default. We've had a 2007 CCR cluster with FSW set up
for about a year. We can do pretty much anything (shutdown, reboot,
disconnect NIC, etc.) the inactive node without any effect on the active node
one. As long as the active node can see the FSW, it should keep running.

Sorry for asking something obvious, but is your FSW on the passive node, or
somehow controlled by the passive node? If the active node loses
connection to the FSW, the active node will think it's the isolated one with
the problem and stop the clustering.

Having the active node shut of the clustering when the passive node goes
down pretty much defeats the idea of a cluster..
