Good Day Everyone-
I am trying to install an MSDN version 2003 Std R2 over a VL 2003 SP2. When
I enter the key, I get the error: "The product key you entered is not valid.
Please type a valid product key"

I am using the MSDN for testing purposes, and will buy whatever key is
required if my testing goes well. I have 2 questions.
1. Why won’t the MSDN install? According to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912309 it should install, but it does not.

2. What "Channel" do I need to purchase the license from? According to the
above kb, one would think either VL or Retail, but after not seeing the MSDN
work, I am not sure and really don't want to get stuck with an extra useless
copy of R2.

I may just need to find an alternative to DFS (What we are testing for).

Thanks all.

I'd try the MSDN Online Concierge
