MSN 9.0 crashes & MSN 8.5 signs-in & crashes in compatabilty mode

As of several days ago, my version on MSN 8.5 wouldn't let me sign in. It
kept saying i had to upgrade to MSN 9.0

So i did. But MSN 9.0 doesnt work. It signs in then i can't see any of my
contacts at all. i can see them sign in but thats it. there is no list. after
about 30 seconds (max) it crashes.

I uninstalled MSN 9.0 and reinstalled MSN 8.1 and then tried MSN 8.5
(putting both into compatability mode, which is meant to make it work),
however they would just sign in and then immediately crash.

Therefore i cannot use any forms of MSN.

Is there anyway to fix this?
