msn and hotmail not working for the last three months!

i havent been able to access my hotmail via internet
explorer or my msn messenger for the last three months. i
can however access hotmail through netscape and msn
messenger at friends computers so it is not my password or
email address. msn comes up with the error 0x81000303 and
IE cant display the page!
i have tried suggestions given to other people here but
they haven't worked (such as checking clock/date,
firewalls, deleting files from IE etc).
this began three days after installling a hercules video
card, is there any relation there?
i have windows 98, use cable internet and have
re-downloaded msn messenger (different versions) about 10
times. i currently have msn 6.1.
id appreciate any advice! thanks

everything else works fine. i can use netscape without any
problems and IE for everything else but hotmail. its just
accessing hotmail and msn. i have also re downloaded
windows but that hasnt worked. im pretty sure its not the
internet connection.

Hello Dee,

I was having the same problem too!
I think its a problem with MSN 6.1. I uninstalled it, and
was able to read my Hotmail normally again.

i have norton antivirus and checked it throughly for
viruses recently..there is none.
and it wasn't jsut msn 6.1 coz i orginally had msn 6.0 so
i dont know what else! maybe its an excuse for a new
computer

Clear cache, TIF, check the clock settings? Did I miss anything?
