MSN Crashes when I sign in

Since last night my MSN has been crashing when I sign into it. I had the most
recent version of MSN Messenger and after i entered my password it would load
for a few seconds then freeze. I uninstalled and installed Live Messenger.
This actually signs in, but then freezes immediately in the same way. (Mouse
pointer turns into hourglass, clicking on/scrolling over icons has no effect,
eventually 'not responding' appears in brackets in the title bar.

Any ideas?

Greetings,

You could try completely removing your contact cache store.

To do so, shut down Messenger, then clicking Start, then
Run, type:
%appdata%\Microsoft

Right-click the MSN Messenger folder and choose Delete. Then restart Messenger and see if
the problem has been corrected.

Another possible solution for this is if you've had the debug log file on and its grown too
big. To correct, go to your My Documents\My Received Folder and if you have a MsnMsgr.txt
file, delete it and then try signing in. If this works, be sure to click the Tools menu,
then Options, Connection category, then Advanced Settings button, and uncheck the box under
'Connection Logging'.

I've got the same problem and none of this worked. Tried to delete the cache
and the log files but nothing changed.

This appears as content of the error report:
szAppName : msnmsgr.exe szAppVer : 8.0.787.0 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

Can you help me?
