msn log in dependant on time

      07-06-2006
I had to reset my cmos (for a hardware problem) so the date was set to 2001
and I couldn't log on to msn.. then I saw that the date was changed and I
fixed and msn logged on!

I guess this is a protection against time travelers

Greetings,

It's not Messenger itself -- it's the way SSL encryption works which is used to authenticate
your Passport. You also would've had problems getting to other secure sites and services
too.

Yes.. I noticed a warning in OE because I had a GMAIL pop account there
too...

I will look into this since I didnt know it..
