msn messanger status

does anyone know why when i sign in to messanger that my status is to set to
away. The when i change my status to onlin it flash's back and forward from
away to online, away to online.

When you open msn messenger to the sign in screen is your status set to
"Away" when you sign in? If so, change the status on the sign in screen to
"Online".
