Msn messenger and internet explorer 7

hi,

For about two months i've been using another browser other than ie, because
it was always crashing. Since the instalation of Microsoft GEnuine Advantage,
both my ie and the msn messenger don't work (i assume the msn doens't work
because of the ie). Now here's the catch: the i.e. work but only if i do the
execute "iexplore about:blank". If i start the ie any other way it won't
work. What's wrong and what can i do?
