What's the difference between MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger?

Windows Live Messenger is just the latest version of MSN Messenger (hence Windows Live
Messenger 8), it just got renamed.

The difference is that MSN Messenger does not reboot my computer the
whole time as Windows Live Messenget does.
