MSN Messenger - Contact profile photo

Hi
I am trying to figure out why when i have my windows live messenger opened
that i cannot see my contacts profiles photos and they sometimes cant see
mine.

I deleted windwos live messenger and went for msn messenger 7 and i can see
them now but i want to upgrade to windows live messenger but cant fix my
problem.

help pleeaaaaaase
