msn messenger offline store

My contacts tell me when they try to send me an offline message.They get this
message.This message was not sent because this contact's offline store is
unavailable.And yes I do have live messenger 8.1 So how do I get this to work
so I can recieve offline messages.

The offline messaging store is server-side, I don't believe there's anything you can do on
your side to fix this. How long has this been going on?

Been having this problem since I up graded to the live version 8.1
