Msn not showing emoticons

I checked the box in the customisation window, i checked it so i can see
emoticons, but yet i still cant. i tried restarting the computer, but it
still didnt work. Anyone help?

What exactly are you seeing instead? For instance, are you seeing the textual equivalent,
like ? Or are you getting a blank white area or what?

Additionally, are these custom emoticons or the built-in ones?
