MSN wont install

Hello

I am looking at a friends PC it has Windows Vista 32 Bit OS

It has had Windows live messenger on it and it stopped working it wa
removed and for the add and remove tool

We have tried to reinstall it but it keeps on saying that it ha
already been installed

So we have gone into My computer and have removed the folder it sel
but it was tell me that it was installed

It has also been removed for the registry but it is still say that i
is installed

We have removed and anything that has to do with windows live messenge
on this PC and it still say that there is windows live messenger on th
PC

Any ideas.
