MSP3880-U 56K Modem

After my mother installed an update from Windows Update, our modem stopped
working. She doesn't remember which update it was, only that it was one for a
modem.

We use a Conexant MSP3880-U 56K modem on a Windows 98 SE operating system.
After she logged off, when I tried to log in, it requested a new driver.

What should we do?

Go back to Windows Update to find the correct update or go to the Conexant
website to find the proper driver. Its also best to mabe go to a newer
version of windows such as 2000 SP4 or XP SP2, because they both contain the
latest drivers to hardware! Good Luck
