The error code 0x80070005 is most likely related to a lack of Permission
for getting the update installed.
I don't believe that Vista has MSXML 4 natively installed, but I could
be wrong about that. Am betting that it was installed with the HP
software/drivers.
So, you may need to download MSXML SP2 patch

and then right click msxml4-KB927978-enu.exe and choose 'Run as
administrator' to get it installed:

As Vista is not listed on the download page under System Requirements
and the Security Bulletin page states that ALL Windows versions are
supported, I'm more than a tad puzzled by this.
Suggest you give it a shot. If Vista 'rejects' it again, I'll attempt to
contact MS to find out just what the heck is going on here.
