MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978): Repeat install

Original post on 3/16: I am having a problem with the update (KB92798). It
has successfully
installed but the Windows update notification icon constantly remains in the
system tray. I am using Vista 32bit HmPr.

Here is info from the latest install. I installed a Canon MF5770 aprox. 3
weeks ago. First update notification/install completed on 3/15. This update
was published by MS on 11/13/06.

Installation date: ‎3/‎16/‎2007 3:00 AM

Installation status: Successful

Update type: Important

A vulnerability exists in the XMLHTTP ActiveX control within Microsoft XML
Core Services that could allow for remote code execution

And your post has a reply to it. A fix is posted and MS is well aware of
the MSXML update having an 'issue'.

Perhaps you should use an NNTP reader since it's apparent you cannot
find the thread with the web-based reader that you are employing.
