MSXML sec update 925672 keeps wanting to install

I've installed this update multiple times now, each at the behest of Windows
Update, either manual or automatic, rebooted, AND IT KEEPS ASKING TO INSTALL
THIS PATCH!

This means that the patch was NOT 'successfully' installed, as it is NOT
detected as installed. This seems decidedly different from 'will not
install' and other issues that are being reported.

WTF is going on here?

Reply to self:
I found an article that suggested deleting the catroot2 dir, or the log file
in it. One of those seems to have done the trick, as it's no longer asking
to install this patch over and over and over.
I searched for 'updates keep installing'. The article 'successful updates
not recognised as installed' has message from Taurarian with link
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;822798. This link
seemed to help solve this problem.
