msxml6.dll bad image error? Standard TCP/IP printer port option to

After the automatic Aug 18 2007 update several things have stopped working on
my laptop:

1) I get msxml6.dll bad image errors - this seems to affect many programs -
don't know why Soliataire needs XML but...

2) Standard TCP/IP printer ports has dissappeared as an option for printers
- all my previously working network printers suddenly stopped working!

3) Wireless networking stopped working altogether.

How can I fix this mess? Is it possible to reverse these updates? The
XML-related updates cannot be undone apparently...

Is anything tested before unleasing it?
