5 days early largely because testing is done ahead of schedule.

I did not havee that problem and I have not heard others with that problem,
however it is still very new.

Make sure your computer is clean of anty virus, spyware or other malware
before attempt to install, similar procedure as any other updatew.
Follow the yellow section on this link:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/slowcom.htm

The patch has been extensively tested but there was also tremendous pressure
to get it out.
Also it is impossible to test all possible computer configuration since the
number is limitless.

After I installed it, all my OE newsgroup folders were empty.
So I used System Restore and now OE newsgroup folders are ok.
Doesn't sound like the patch was tested enough!

and I still am unable, as are thousands of other people, to even get the fn
update.

I run 6 spyware, two firewall and two virus protection, so no, I don't have
a virus.

And yes, I disabled and uninstalled all to test updates, so it's not that
either.

Fn garbage I am sick of wasting time with this BS!

I have only heard of two, you being the second.
The other easily installed it the second time.

I am curious for your precise source for "thousands of other people".

Also you never responded to my suggestion for your issues.
What happened when you tried it?

I have tried every sugggestion in this ng.

Also, there are thousands of posts here and elsewhere related to windows
updates.
Are you blind, or is your newsfeed just broken?

No, I don't think it was tested enough either. I installed it on my Win2k
SP4 system and my CAD program stopped displaying dimensions. That's stopped
my being able to work with it. Unfortunately, uninstalling it didn't restore
my system to its previous state and I still can't use my CAD program. I'm
disappointed with Microsoft on this one. This is a serious problem for me.

An update: I found that only pre-existing drawings had this problem and
that new drawings displayed dimensions just fine. Select-All in an old
drawing and pasting into a new drawing resulted in the dimensions displaying
as they should. This is relatively painless fix for me, so the problem I
encountered has become a non-issue.
