Upgrading to Ultimate just for that purpose is *way* overkill and
costs much more than you need to spend. You can get a good third-party
fax program for far less money--probably around $20-30US.
Or better yet, consider buying an inexpensive stand-alone fax machine.
That's what I use. It works fine and I bought mine on sale for $20.
