Hi,

I live in Germany but we're bilingual (I'm American and my wife is German).
I'm planning to get Ultimate x64 since you can install multiple languages.

My question is this: Is it possible to buy a German version and get an
English language pack, or do I need to get a base English version and
install the German language pack (as is tha cae with MUI versions of XP)?

Thanks,
Mike

The Ultimate version of Vista includes all world wide language interfaces,
this includes English, yes even if its localized for the German market.

Thanks, Andre. That saves me a lot of aggravation trying to track down an
English version here.

have in mind that you will initially need to install it in German then
download the MUI from windows update

Andre was not clear he is too immersed in vista to see what problems may
occur..

Thats why said localized in German. Which means, the default would have been
German when the user installed Vista Ultimate anyway.
