Multiple Backups...?

When using Windows Vista's built-in Backup and Restore Center, is it possible
to create multiple backup "scenarios"?

Meaning, I want to backup different scenarios throughout each and every
week: sometimes I want to backup the entire system; I want another scenario
to back up just one folder; and yet another scenario to back up a set of
folders that I use quite regularly.

Is it possible to have multiple backup scenarios in place with this built-in
backup program?

In looking over the options (or the lack thereof), I'm guessing probably not.

If not, would anyone care to recommend a free backup utility that would have
this capability? I simply do not have the funds at present to be able to pay
for anything above about $20.
