Multiple boot problem

I have Win XP Pro and Vista 32 on my machine and they were working fine
allowing me to default to XP and choose Vista. I installed XP x64 to a third
partition and now I can't get to Vista anymore. I looked through here and
found threads talking about a BCD program to work on the boot manager file. I
did that and it finds the boot manager file and I edited it but then when I
boot again it is back to using the boot file the XP x64 created that does not
give me any option to go to vista. How do I fix this?

Thanks,

JonK

As a start, you could download and install VistaBootPro and restore the
Vista boot process.
Depending on how you did the install, you probably still have the Vista boot
file, but not the Vista boot record on the system drive.

Thank you John. I will look into the program you mention.

Free at http://www.vistabootpro.org/ Do not use the latest version with
Beta2, but works great with the later versions at least RC1 and later.

Hi John,

Just to report, I downloaded Vistabootpro, installed it and ran it and the
problem is gone.

Thanks,

JonK
