Multiple Copies of Songs

I have alot of somgs on the computer and different formatted songs. In
Windows Media Player I have at least 3 copies of each song. I have tried
pressing F3 to search computer for songs and going into advanced options,
then I select the files and click ignore and pressing ok. But then every time
i get back on WMP it puts the folders back to Atomatically added. I have even
tried deleting all of the music and inporting only the songs in the specific
folder. But it keeps on adding all the musoc possipal on the computer, that
is including sound effects from the games I have.
Please help me, I am very frustrated by this. Thank You

What version of WMP and Windows?

This sounds like a corrupted media library. To reset the library, follow
the instructions for your WMP and Windows version at
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary
Note that restoring the library will make you lose all current play
counts, and possibly ratings too.
