Multiple Desktop folders

I have a situation similar to the person who posted this:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...58cb8b&m=1&p=1

The thing is that when I delete the extra folders (and I have checked which
ones seem to be the extra ones in the manner suggested in the post above) I
still end up not being able to open the original Desktop, as "the folder xxx
has been removed" or some such.
The folders go down 7 levels (Computer>Music>Desktop>Desktop>Desktop>Desktop
etc.) and are situated in the Music folder, for some stange reason.

How do I get rid of this?

In the Start Search box, type: 'regedit<enter>' to launch the Registry
Editor.

Navigate to:

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\User Shell Folders]

and edit the path for 'Desktop' and whatever other folders are giving you
problems.
