Multiple internet explorer windows open unpredictably

Periodically (every 10th time or so) when I close Internet Explorer,
instead of closing, it opens up approximatly 60 duplicate windows.
This started occuring after SP2 was loaded. (It may be a hotmail
problem - I'm not sure which is the initiating party here)

Anybody having similar problems?

Sounds like you might have some spyware/browser hijackers installed. try and
get a spyware removal pogram ( i use adaware), install and run it.
