Multiple Updates required but only a dial up connection

Hi,

I have a PC which I have just built with an early version of XP home. I know
that when I get the PC hooked up to the internet there is gonna be a whole
load of updates but we only have dial up.

However I have broadband and a large USB memory stick at work. Was wondering
if there is a way to download all the updates in one go from somewhere and
then transfer the file to the home PC, saving me spending days on the
internet retreiving all the updates.

Any help/links appreciated.

There is a way (but I'm not sure it will work). You can download the updates
from the Microsoft download center and transfer it into the stick. But first
u gotta find the updates that u need from the home computer.

Using a dial up to see what updates are needed won't take long.
