Well, IMO, it Has to be malware of some kind. Gracefully closing an IE
window requires the handle to the window, just for example. Somebody wrote
something that is doing that on purpose. I would inspect what is running
with Process Explorer, or maybe use Autoruns from the systeminternals site
at MS. In any case, I think you should consider finding some tools to
inspect your system. What you might use depends on what you are comfortable
with.
