Please enlighten me. Perhaps I have the misconception.
I thought if I ......
post the same question more than once on the SAME newsgroup, it is called
multipost,
post the same question in Different newsgroups, it is crosspost.
One should not multipost, but its OK to crosspost.
Am I right or wrong ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossposting
http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm - multiposting

Crossposting should be done judiciously, to no more than 3 groups and to
groups where the post actually is relevant. Multiposting should never be
done.

Multipostiing should never be done and Crossposting when done should be done
prudently

Thank you, Dan. Your answer is clearer.
Now please tell me how to cross-post ?
quote......Cross-post means to put multiple groups in the field of what
group to post
to. And this message is only posted once.

Thank you.

I crosspost mildly, when selling.
It is a fact you cannot sell a common item by posting a single ad to a
single "forsale" newsgroup; but if I do it's no more than 2-3, or 4 groups
at most and all MUST be explicitly "forsale".
As of Tech Support, one post is enough. I like 2nd opinion for the same
reasons you get it from a doctor or a lawyer - no one is perfect & 2
opinions are usually a must, sometimes 3 & more.

Just be sensible.
Here we have a person nicknamed "Alias" and his crosspostings do constitute
a violation - specifically pestering, spamming and promoting destruction of
our economic system by means of pirated or free software. That person one
day will be punished.

One thing for sure. I'll bet they all know how to set their PCs clock. If
you look at the time posted, I am sure everyone but you ****TARD has the
correct time.

Too bad you don't know how to change your ****ing clock. I suggest calling
tech support and maybe they can walk you through the process. It really
isn't that bad.

Someone with your limited knowledge just might be able to do it with hand
holding.

Give it a try

I know nothing about cross posting.
Maybe some one can help me out
The other day I came across a classifieds. On reading it had displayed on anuber of Postings this ""It is ok to contact this poster with commercial interests".I am also another classifieds service. So I contacted all of them as I interprited ""It is ok to contact this poster with commercial interests". That permision is granted to contacted them with another commercial service.
I then receive a email from the other classifieds provider that I am cross spaming. But I dont think I have as permission was granted to contact them.
I would like to know what others think?????

Thanks
