How good will Vista be with mutlitasking with 1.5GB of RAM? I've got 768MB
of RAM and plan on getting a gig stick, but removing my 256 stick. (I'm
removing my 256 stick because it is only PC-2100.) I would like to be able
to run my e-mail app, (probably Outlook XP, Outlook 2007 beta, or Windows
Mail; I haven't decided which yet) WMP11, 5-8 paint documents, and Picture
It opened at the same time. I can do this easily on XP with 768MB of RAM,
but how would it be on Vista with 1.5GB?

Specs:
Aspire X-Infinity Case (black) with a 430-watt ThermalTake PSU
Asus K8N motherboard
AMD Sempron 64 2800+ (754) overclocked to 2GHz (FSB is set to 250 instead of
200)
512MB Kingston PC-3000 stick
256MB Samsung PC-2100 stick
Lite On 16x DVD drive
Memorex (Lite On) 52x32x52 CD-RW drive
3 1/2" floppy
Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM IDE (ATA100) 2MB cache HD - WINDOWS XP
Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM IDE (ATA100) 8MB cache HD
1st Partition (D 55.8GB - WILL BE FOR THE VISTA PUBLIC BETA
2nd Partition (E 55.8GB - PERSONAL STORAGE
Ati Radeon X1600 PRO AGP 8X 256MB GDDR2 video card
Creative Soundblaster Audigy 24-bit soundcard

In a nutshell, Vista will benefit from all of the RAM you can give it.
1.5GB would be noticeably faster than 768MB from my experience.
