My 2nd monitor(hdtv) no sound

I am not getting any sound from the tv. Do i need an adio cables or use
attach comp speakers to the tv? I thought hemi cables do nto need audio
cables.

HDMI cables do support digital and analog audio, but chances are your PC
video card does not.

Some of the NEWER video cards that have HDMI ports built in have internal
connectors that you can run your audio from your sound card to the video
card and it'll pipe it through the HDMI cable, otherwise you will need a
seperate audio connection to your HDTV to get audio output.

Yea, just the new ATI DX10 video cards support sound over HDMI.

Connect line out from TV to line in on your soundcard. You may need to
buy mini stereo to L/R RCA for your TV if it doesn't have mini stereo.
