You're getting farther than me. I recently purchased a Lenovo deskto
with Windows Vista Home Premium, to replace a dead XP computer. In th
old computer, I had a Belkin BT dongle (B8T013) that worked just fin
with my Jabra BT8010 with the A2DP stereo
During the course of setting up the new computer, I plugged the dongl
into a USB port, and Vista supposedly found drivers for it. I tried t
connect the BT8010, and while it did connect, I couldn't get th
computer to recognize the stereo profile--just the mono handsfre
profile
I downloaded and installed updated Vista drivers for the dongle fro
Belkin, but now I can't pair the device at all. Windows sees the devic
in the Add New Device window, and I've tried every possible passcod
setting, but it won't pair at all. I did get the message once that i
was paired successfully, but Windows would not allow me to select an
services for the device, and the headset seems oblivious to the fac
that it is supposed to be paired. (The display does show a "paired
symbol once it is paired correctly, but that symbol never appeared.
Suggested on how to solve the problem are more than welcome. Th
headset works fine with my LG CU515 (which does support A2DP), and i
worked with the Belkin dongle on my old XP machine, so I'm pretty sur
it's a Vista thing.
I do have a copy of Vista Ultimate that I could install (legally
even!) on this computer, but I'm hesitating unless I know that it wil
fix more problems than it will cause
