Hello,
I have 2 computers at home and had installed SP2 on the newer one (P4 2.66
GHz, 512MB ram, Windows XP Pro), and i didnt seem to have many problems, so i
decided to install it on the older one as well. The older one (P4 1.8GHz,
512MB ram, Windows XP Pro), on the other hand, freezes almost every time i
start the computer up a few minutes after doing so, when being in Windows XP
already. It doesnt seem to be a certain program or anything that causes it to
do so, Windows XP just freezes a few minutes after entering it and i have to
restart the computer manually. Is there anything i can do to overcome this or
do i just have to uninstall SP2?
Also, my new computer freezes more often (Blue screens, etc...). Is this a
common thing, and if so, what can be done about it?

Make sure your PCs are spyware and virus-free:

1: download and run Stinger from http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger . That
cleans the most common in the wild viruses.

2: download, install, and run Spybot Search and Destroy from
http://www.safer-networking.org - that should sort out your spyware

3: make sure your antivirus software is working and up to date. If you
have none, go to http://www.avast.com and get their free Personal Edition

4: make sure your video card's drivers are up to date

That's for starters.
