my computer won't read any cd or game disk i put into it

will using vista, i have realised that it constantly stops reading disk after
about 2 to 4 days... it won't read any music cd or any dvds or game cds that
i put into it. what can i do to solve the problem...

you've probably already updated your cd drive's drivers, if not, do so.
can you tell for sure if it's a problem with the drive or with the os?

I would suggest finding your cd drive model and doing a google search
for something along the lines of '(drive model), vista, won't read cds'
to see if anybody else has had that same problem and has already solved
it. that works a surprisingly high percentage of the time.
