Downloaded the image.
Burned image to a CD.
Booted from CD.
Selected "Start or Install" from menu.
System locked up with "Unsupported Video Mode"
Removed CD.
Placed CD in microwave.
Watched the CD sparkle. (The only thing Ubuntu 7.10 CD is good for)
Rebooted Vista.
Now I have a OS that works.

My microwave wouldn't start with the mugabe CD...says invalid for human
consumption

Is there a NG for complaints about mugabe?

Now for what stupid reason do you think he should post his hardware? What a
jerk you are. He already made his decision. He didn't ask for help. He was
making a statement.

You are really lame!

And An X86 Installation With An Nvidia GeForce 8300GS Graphics Card),

You are lucky. My system locked up period...with no message as to why.

No he's not. the OP made an accusation: Ubuntu is bad.
Charlie was asking for some reason behind the statement.
If you make accusations, you'd better have facts to back
them up. In this case, the hardware looks fairly standard
and so the assertion has merit. The only way to know that
however was to know the type of hardware.
