My gadgets do not appear when starting my computer.

I customized the gadgets I wanted to appear, now evertime I start up my comp
the gadgets are gone. I've re-activated my sidebar several times and each
time the gadgets I selected pop up, however when I shut down they all
disappear. Any advice??
