my hp pavillion dv6000 is runing slow

about amost a year ago i bought an hp pavillion dv6000 and i had no
problems with it until i accendently wanted to reformate it thinking i
would get the 60 day free trial of MS office again and such but it was
the upgrade cd that came along with it and every since i mean ive
goten it fixed but still it runs slow and the boot time is extremly
slow!, could anybody help?

Hi,

Check HP's support site for any driver updates, as that is likely the
biggest problem. The recovery media likely has older version of many files.

Also, as you just did the reformat (accidentally wanted to?), you may have
had a bad install. In such cases it's easiest just to start over.

If you formatted the HD and reinstalled the O/S, then you must go to HP's
site and load software to install on the computer for the dv6000 running
Vista.

So, you destroy the O/S just to get the trial version on Office to run
again? That's a good one.

Not only that, but on an HP dv6000z the trial version is only Office 2007
Home and Student!
