Hi. I use bsafe for my internet filter, and it works great. However, it
appears to be blocking Windows Update. Is there a specific IP address that
Windows Update uses that I can add to the white list for my filter to allow
for updates on my computer?
I don't want to have to disable the filter every time I update my computer.
Thanks.

Ports 80 and 443 need to be open. The DNS address is fluid for Windows
Update. How do you know it's your 'internet filter' that's blocking
access ? And, if it's informed you that access is being blocked, does
the Help file present a solution to allow access to blocked sites ?

Yes, it is definitely the filter. Uninstalled it and Windows Update worked
fine. Will try to contact bsafe to follow up this issue with them. Must just
be a compatibility issue with Vista.
