Thanks for the response. Making a short cut to the desktop for a progam works
fine. The trouble I'm having is making a short cut for a web site. The web
site url will be place on the desk top,but the icon (pattern or view) is
like one when your computer cannot find the application for a particular
program. The web site will open, but a dilogue box also appears on the desk
top saying windows cannot find the particular web site.
