My switch from XP Prof to Vista Business

A few months ago I reluctantly switched from XP Prof to Vista Business.
There was much negative news about this new OS in the Vista NG, but now I am
glad I've made the switch.
I use a home built computer, with a Pentium 4, Asus P4P800 MB, 3 GB memory
and a 512 Readyboost USB stick, 2 WD Raptor HD's, a Matrox Parhelia gr.
card. My SW is Office 2003, Photoshop CS3, Coreldraw, Nero 7 and various
utilities like Perfect Disc, Acronis and Norton 360 as a virus protection.
The total startup time for everything to appear on my screen is 65 second
and the switching between the various programs is super fast. The Vista
built in help function is excellent.
I am very pleased with Vista and in my opinion it is the best OS I have ever
used. (I have used them all over the years)

Hi Hans, welcome to the group.

It's good to know that your transition went well, as it should, and
that you're enjoying the new environment.

I went through the same thing. I ignored the negative publicity and
took the plunge into Vista x64 Ultimate. And I haven't looked back.

Guilbert, I'm not a Microsoft Employee, and I do not believe that Andre
is either.

I'm nothing more than a regular user (albeit more advanced than most,
if you don't mind my blowing my own whistle) trying to spread the word.
I think the same can be said of most members of this group -With the
exception of Taibear, who seams to exists solely to spread dissent
without facts-.

If you were so advanced why do you feel it's necessary to tell us all about
the hardware you're using in your sig? Is this just part of your bragging
rights? Does it really take all that hardware to run Fista?

Cheers.

Do you use Linux? Everytime you "google", you're using Linux.

Since you did not quote any of the text you are responding, it is
difficult to know exactly who you are referring.

What leads you to believe anyone in this thread works for Microsoft?
AFAIK, no one in this thread works for Microsoft.

Actually RobDee, my hardware is getting to 20 months old (from the date
it was purchased). The actuall design age of some components may be even
older than that.

I include the spec in my sig to prove a point. Vista DOES run without
problems on older hardware.

Why do you care doris? You don't give a sh*t about anything MS. In fact
you openly hate all things MS. You're a open sores RS/linux lovin loser.
Why are you still here? Jealous...broke...unemployed or unemployable?
