Look in Disk Management.

If you purchased a PC with Vista preinstalled, the "D" partition is
likely the Recovery partition and is purposefully hidden so you don't
tamper with it.

What is "partition d:"? Recovery partition? Something you made yourself?

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?
