where is my Windows Mobile Center

I have installed beta 2 and everything looks really good except that when I
try to connect my mobile 5.0 iPAQ.

My laptop bleeps when the pda is put into the cradle but nothing else happens!

How do I connect my iPAQ to my laptop, I do not have a problem with XP Pro
and ActiveSync 4.1

help please, this problem is stopping me from making beta 2 my mine O/S.
