I've just installed windows vista on my pc (wich were running without a
single problem with the previous system, windows XP!) and now it shuts down
by itself withouth warning or error message, all of a sudden. It's not a
hardware problem since it was extremely perfect while using XP, It was just
to install vista and It began behaving like this! I'm quite sure its a
windows problem!!!
And another problem, less urgent but none the less still a problem, is that
windows dont update correctly! It gives erro message code 800b0100 and
another one.
Please help me! I was satisfied with windows xp, installed vista to get a
even better performance and all that I got was this headache!!!

Just because your system ran perfectly with WXP doesn't mean that it will
run well with Vista. Did you run Upgrade Advisor before installing Vista?
Did it say there might be problems? Also, Advisor only provides advice --
there is no way for it to know all the possible incompatibilities. Did you
install Vista drivers or check for Vista drivers at the computer
manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer's web site? Did you completely
remove all computer protection software (antivirus, antimalware, antiadware,
etc), prior to doing the upgrade?

Perhaps you should roll back to WXP and learn more about upgrading instead
of continuing to fix your upgrade. Also you may want to image your system
before trying to upgrade so you can easily go back to WXP if necessary. One
way to learn more about upgrading would be to use a newsreader like outlook
express, set it up to use msnews.micorosoft.com as the news source, and
browse microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup for info. Seeing
other people's problems and solutions might help you to understand your
problem.

Why do you state "I'm quite sure its a windows problem"?

Do you know computers?
Or, you have just decided that you know everything?

For your info, it's NOT a windows problem!

I'm certainly it's a windows problem because I didnt had anything that
resembled that problem before installing it, it was just to install vista and
then *zap* the problem began. Computer pc is extremely normal, it's much
lower than the limit! So it can be hardware. And It always happens with some
things, like for example when I try to run windows media player, it ALWAYS
crashes (100%!!!) It cant be hardware.
About studying if I could do the upgrade to vista, I really did not invested
much time into, and I believe most people do not too (for many reasons!). But
off course I know windows has some requirements (that my pc meets!). like for
example they say minimun 1GB, mine is too, my processor is an atlhon dual
core 64 4600, geforce 7300, hd sata... So yes, it is able to run windows
without problems (and apart from this mysterious shutdown, its is running
perfectly smooth!)
About deleting previous softwares antivirus etcs, What I did was a COMPLETE
format to my hd before installing vista, so it cant be it either.
I look foward to your help.

My error! When it is written "Computer pc is extremely normal, it's much
lower than the limit! So it can be hardware." read "Computer pc temperature
is extremely normal, it's much
lower than the limit! So it cannot be hardware."

And more evidence about why it isnot hardware: Whereneverr I try to install
anything the pc shutsdown! It happened a 100% of the trys I made with mozilla
and Windows media player.

Another evidence: When running windows through safe mode it never shutsdown
unless I do so. And it can even install software.

So it cannot be anything other than windows.

How is it crashing? What's the crash data?

What information about this crash do you find in the Problem Reports and
Solutions Center? I'm specifically interested in the fault bucket bucket
data, which this-

can help you look up if you don't know how. =)
