WMP supports transcoding
When syncing, the files will be translated to a format then portable
understands.
You can even set the amount of compression.
Plug in your portable and see what happens
Be careful with WAV.
WMP don’t support tagging, artwork, etc in WAV files.
It is stored in the library only, not in the audio files.
The day you move your audio to another computer, all the tagging is lost.
Move one of these WAV to another computer and check the tagging and the
artwork
