mysterious glitch when typing 'server'

I've been experiencing this for several months now. Sometimes when I'm typing
the word 'server', it comes out as 'servr|e', | marking the resulting cursor
position.

I've seen this happen in Putty, Opera, even Visual Studio, so it's not a
single application at fault. Unable to reproduce it at will, it just
'happens' randomly. Can't be typing fault, because the cursor ends up on the
penultimate character.

Any advice on what this could be, or how to attempt to identify the problem?

i've seen something very similar, and also very wierd, it endup to be a
keyboard fault.

i sugest you use another keyboard for a few days to see if that appens
again.
