NAIC's Stock Prospector Program crashes during installation?

This is one of the most severe problems I have ever encountered. I purchase
a version of NAIC's Stock Prospector program and I am having problems
installing the software.
When I attempt to install the software; the installation program crashes. I
thought this may have been a capatability problem so I ran the installation
as 1) An administrator, and 2) windows XP -SP2 mode. The software still
would not load and the installation program crashed. I tried this
technique many time, with the same results, before I contacted the vendor.
The vendor sent me an e-mail with their solution. They basically suggested
what I had already done; set the program to run as an administrator and
install to Windows XP-SP2 capatability mode. However they added one more
solution to this problem.
When the installation crashes make a note of what file was in progress or
what file was being attempted to load. Go to the command prompt and using
regsvr32 enter the name of the problem file to register this file with
Windows Vista. If these crashes continue until the software loads properly.
In my case the first file that crashed the installation program was
c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\DAO\DAO 360.dll. I entered
this file into regsvr32 and recieved the following RegSvr32 error: "The
module "c:\program" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the
specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or
dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found." I have
not been able to get past this point.
Using explorer I verified that DAO360.dll did exist; and it does. I figured
that the best way to repair a dll file is to reload it. So I typed 360.dll
into the knowledge base with no results. Also, when viewing "uniinstall
programs" it shows Stock prospector as one of the installed software
programs on my computer; however there are no desktop icons or startup
folders for this software. When I try to remove the software using
"uninstall" it states that no software exist. In the past I have been able
to search the knowledge base for a solution to completely removing a
software from your computer; the process basicall requires one to edit the
registry. I have not yet found this procedure for Vista.
I thought that I was good at installing any programs in any version of
Windows that I have worked with, however this one really has thrown me loop!
Do you have any suggestions on where I can go from here?

I saw that you said it sayed c:\program
This means you need to put quotes around the file location.
See if that helps
