If you have the correct power supply, and your card is new, there may be
another issue. The 96.85 driver should work correctly, you may want to check
your Vista load for errors, or maybe try a re-install to see if that fixes
the issue.
If the problem still persists, you may want to take the card back and maybe
see if the card is fouled.
I am using the GeForce 7600GS and having no issues. If you are using the
most current released driver, you should be good. Next check points are the
card itself and the Vista load. then maybe the mainboard, but I doubt that
would be the issue.
As far as the "load your wallet in the CD tray" someone was doing a very bad
job at trying to make a joke..
